Congrats to Toni and her Therapy Mini Horse – they just passed their renewal #petpartnersofcobbcounty therapy evaluation. You may ask how is the evaluation different for a horse. Well it is very similar in many way to that of a canine evaluation. With a few differences such as we do not have the horse sit or lie down. We wish to ensure that Betsy will be comfortable in many situations, with her handler providing appropriate support and guidance. We insure Betsy will ignore items on the floor, is comfortable with crowds and with people petting her and is gentle when offered a treat.
Betsy loved her peppermint treat at the end of her evaluation. Toni and Betsy will continue to be able to visit nursing homes, hospice and other locations. They are a wonderful and welcome therapy team.
