VA VA Announces New Rules Regarding Service Animals in VA Facilities| Animals Deserve Better-Paws for Life GeorgiaThe Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has amended its policy to allow all types of trained service dogs in VA facilities, including canines that support people with mental health and emotional issues.

Previously, the only animals allowed in VA facilities were guide dogs, with few exceptions.
